The Winter Medicine Chest given by Gabrielle Castrejon, Naturopath and Herbalist

Dr. Wilke attends more training on Rhythmic Movement

Helpful Information for the Cold & Flu Season

We will be offering a class called The Winter Medicine Chest on Saturday, January 28th from 11am-12pm at Wilke Chiropractic & Wellness.  The class will be given by Gabrielle Castrejon, Naturopath and Herbalist.

She will present information on the following topics: Food as Medicine, Herbal Tonics, Physical Movement, Bodywork, Essential Oils, Sunlight, Hydration and Daily Practices such as breathing or meditation to bring about balance of Body, Mind and Spirit.  This is a true "first aid" kit for the winter blues of congestion, colds and flu.  There will be a Q & A session following the presentation.

Space is limited and we are offering this class to the general public, so if you are interested please R.S.V.P. as soon as you possibly can because this topic may not be offered again until next winter season.  The cost is $15 due at the door.  See you there.

More on Rhythmic Movement Training

Just to review: "RMT is dedicated to bring integration and balance to children and adults with specific learning challenges ( including ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and autism), motor problems, postural imbalances, emotional and behavioral problems and general life overwhelm.  RMT works at integrating infant reflex patterns through replicating developmental movements, gentle isometric pressure and self awareness." (from the RMT website)

Non-integrated childhood reflexes have far reaching effects for our children now and for us as adults later in life.  Integrated childhood reflexes are at the core of our learning, development and how we relate to others around us. I see RMT providing a solid foundaton of integrated spinal and neurological reflexes in order to have greater success correcting postural imbalances, spinal problems and strenghthening the core muscles of the body.  This will help me to make changes more quickly with my practice members.  Best of all, these are exercises and movements I can teach you to do at home.

I recently attended another seminar on Rhythmic Movement presented by its developer, Dr. Harald Blomberg, from Sweden.  Why not learn from the man himself, right?  I was very glad I attended so that I could review what I had already learned, but also to learn some of the nuances of the work.  One thing that he stressed in this seminar is the significance of environmental factors (electromagnetic frequencies, food intolerances, Magnesium deficiency and toxins) and how much stress that puts on our bodies.

I encourage each of you, if you haven't already, to set up a no cost consultation to see how this therapy can benefit you.  Also, if you have any questions about environmental factors that may be affecting you, feel free to call.  I will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Yours in Health

Daniel Wilke, D.C.
